Easton Farmer’s Market + Caribbean Fest: A Saturday Full of Flavor
Looking for a weekend plan that keeps everyone happy, full, and entertained? This Saturday, August 30, Easton families can enjoy a perfect two-part day: fresh shopping at the Easton Farmer’s Market in the morning, followed by dancing, food, and fun at the Easton Caribbean Fest in the afternoon.
Morning: Easton Farmer’s Market
Start your day at Scott Park from 9 AM to 1 PM. The Easton Farmer’s Market is the longest-running open-air market in the country, and it shows. Stalls are overflowing with late-summer produce, homemade breads, cheeses, and local treats. Kids can help pick out apples, tomatoes, or even a fun bouquet of flowers for the table. The market is dog-friendly too, so four-legged family members can come along for the stroll.
Expect live music, friendly faces, and plenty of tasty samples. If you’re looking for something quick to eat, grab a pastry and coffee while the kids snack on kettle corn.
Afternoon: Easton Caribbean Fest
Once your bags are full, head just a short walk away to the Easton Neighborhood Center (902 Philadelphia Rd.) for the 3rd Annual Easton Caribbean Festival, happening 12 PM to 6 PM. The celebration is a burst of color and culture, with Caribbean food vendors, steel drum music, dancing, and activities for all ages. From jerk chicken to sweet plantains, there’s plenty to tempt little (and big) taste buds.
Expect a lively, welcoming crowd and a festival atmosphere that feels like a mini-vacation without leaving town.
Parent Tips
Plan parking early: Scott Park can get busy on Saturday mornings. Consider arriving close to 9 AM for easier parking.
Pack a cooler bag: Perfect for keeping produce fresh during the festival if you’re spending the whole day out.
Bring cash and card: Some vendors take cards, but cash speeds things up, especially at food stalls.
This two-for-one day out is a great way to soak up Easton’s local flavor—literally and figuratively. Fresh food, cultural celebration, live music, and plenty of family fun all rolled into one Saturday.

Levitt Pavilion Summer Concerts at SteelStacks: Music Under the Stars
If your family is craving an easygoing night out, the Levitt Pavilion Summer Concert Series at Bethlehem's SteelStacks is a must this weekend. Pack a blanket, grab some picnic snacks, and settle in for free live music in one of the Lehigh Valley's most unique settings.
Saturday Night: The Young Dubliners
On Saturday, August 30, the stage comes alive with the Young Dubliners. Known for their high-energy blend of rock and Celtic sounds, this show will get toes tapping and kids bouncing along to the beat. It’s family-friendly fun with a lively vibe.
Sunday Night: Gentleman Brawlers
Then on Sunday, August 31, the Gentleman Brawlers bring a soulful mix of funk, indie, and Afrobeat rhythms. Expect a danceable, upbeat show that’s just as fun for adults as it is for kids with energy to burn.
Parent Tips
Come early for a spot: The lawn fills up quickly, especially on nice evenings. Arriving 30–45 minutes early helps snag a good spot.
Pack snacks or dinner: Outside food is welcome, but there are also great vendors onsite for quick bites.
Bring layers: Late August evenings can cool off, especially near the SteelStacks structures.
With Bethlehem’s iconic steel backdrop, a family-friendly atmosphere, and two nights of free music, this is one of those summer traditions that’s easy to love. Whether your kids dance the night away or curl up under the stars, it’s a sweet way to wrap up August.
